Mechanical Manufacturing Student

Responsibilities

• Assist in devising and overseeing any tests required to demonstrate proof of concept or functionality and the generation of applicable schematics and reports;
• Assist the mechanical manufacturing team in the review of engineering drawings and designs;
• Assist with the engineering deparment mechanical assemblies;
• Assist and facilitate training for assigned technicians in the field of composite structures fabrication; and
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• Current enrollment in a postsecondary institution in a Mechanical Engineering program, Aircraft Maintenance program, or similar related discipline;
• Eligible to hold an ACA within SGL's Aircraft Maintenance Department, an asset;
• Experience in composite manufacturing and assemblies;
• Experience and/or exposure to welding structures manufacturing and assemblies;
• Experience with geophysical survey equipment an asset;
• Demonstrated ability to work independently;
• Proficient organizational skills;
• Competent report writing ability; and
• Familiarity with CAD principles and techniques for technical drawings.
