Sander Geophysics Awarded Large Airborne Geophysical Survey in Saudi Arabia

October 2020 - Sander Geophysics is very pleased to announce that the company has signed an agreement with the Saudi Geological Survey to provide high resolution airborne magnetic and radiometric data over part of the Arabian Shield in western Saudi Arabia. The airborne geophysical survey will provide the Kingdom with a better and more detailed understanding of its mineral resources.

This survey is part of the ambitious and massive Regional Geological Survey Program that will be carried out by the Saudi Geological Survey Authority. The Regional Geological Survey Program takes a three-pronged approach – the Advance Airborne Geophysical Survey, the Multi-element Geochemical Survey and the Detailed Geological Mapping – that will be carried out, over the next six years, through contracts with selected international technical experts. The resulting data will be made available to the general public, researchers, and investors to enrich knowledge, and enhance and develop the mining sector in the Kingdom.

Latest Phase of Ireland's Tellus Airborne Geophysical Survey Data Released

February 2020 - The Geological Survey Ireland (GSI) has released geophysical data acquired by Sander Geophysics during the spring and summer of 2019 over the southeast of the country. SGL´s de Havilland Twin Otter (registration C-GSGF) gathered over 35,000 lkm of data using this unique multi-parameter platform, which includes the high resolution SGFEM four frequency electromagnetic system, total field magnetics and full-spectrum radiometrics. According to the GSI, "these new data map over 600 million years of complicated and varied geology; from traces of long lost continents, dramatic volcanic arcs and the massive granite intrusions which still dominate the landscape today." The new data can be accessed online here free of charge. Sander Geophysics looks forward to returning to Ireland this spring to complete the next phase of this important project.
