SGL requires AMEs in the company's Ottawa
headquarters and at field sites around the world. The fleet includes Cessna
Caravans, several piston twin aircraft, and an AS350 B3 helicopter.
Responsibilities of the Position
- Maintain company aircraft at Ottawa headquarters and field locations
- Carry out maintenance tasks as directed in accordance with the Maintenance
Policy Manual and Transport Canada regulations, within the scope
of their license, capabilities and authority
- Properly record and report defects discovered while performing maintenance
on any aircraft or component
- Properly record parts used during maintenance and correctly record maintenance
in technical records and log books including the completion
of parts issue and additional work sheets
- Receive and review aircraft status sheets to ensure they have the instructions and parts necessary to support the operations
- Generate and provide reports on the status of aircraft and field maintenance
- Confer with the maintenance manager(s) and field crew chief to identify
aircraft, shop and field maintenance issues and to discuss maintenance
requirements and problems
- Report unserviceable maintenance equipment and material deficiencies
to the maintenance manager or field crew chief
- Assist, as required, to ensure the timely completion of company, customer and regulatory audits
- Ensure that safety precautions are observed both by themselves and by
apprentices and learner mechanics
Qualifications and Experience
- Valid passport
- Willingness to travel globally for extended periods
- Possess a current and valid Canadian AME license (M1 minimum)
- Must have the ability to obtain Transportation Security Clearance (Restricted Area Pass)
Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
